(Live Event, 1.5 CEs) Art Therapy Strategies with Children with Reactive Attachment Disorder

This course is worth 1.5 continuing education contact hour for LCATs in New York state.
In this workshop, participants will discuss the characteristics of reactive attachment disorder, as it presents with clients who are in foster care and/or have been adopted, and how to treat it using an art and play therapy approach.
- Participants will be able to identify the characteristics of reactive attachment disorder and how it presents itself in children who have been in foster care/been adopted.
- Participants will be able to articulate at least three benefits of utilizing an art therapy/play therapy approach to treat reactive attachment disorder.
Shannon Halligan works in a private practice setting, where she sees children, teens and adults. She specializes in autism and autism spectrum disorders, as well as anxiety and depression.
